Mastering God’s Word Announces
Improving English Language Skills with
Scripture Memorization

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Menlo Park, Ca. (February 25, 2007) Mastering God’s Word (MGW), an organization with a unique approach to memorizing scripture, today announced a new program for English language skill improvement in developing countries called Unlimited Hope.

The use of MGW’s method for scripture memorization not only provides a unique way to memorize bible verses, but has also been shown to enhance practice and improvement in English listening-speaking skills. MGW Founder Cindy Mendoza commented, “The Unlimited Hope program provides CDs for schools in developing nations to help them learn the English language through scripture memorization.”

Pastor Mattebos from Addis Ababa noted, “It is a very good idea. Please, if possible,   send them to use it to teach in the school. We need it. We use it not only in Academic School, but we use it also in Vocational School.”

MGW recently completed a translation of the message The Path to Salvation in Amharic, the official language of Ethiopia. Sehin Belew, former Miss Ethiopia known for efforts to educate people on the need for world hunger relief, enthusiastically endorsed MGW’s efforts in providing the Amharic translation and recorded message for those Christian Ethiopians new to the faith. This newly translated version has the message in both English and Amharic providing clear understanding that the only path to God is through Jesus Christ. Acts 4:12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.

MGW has partnered with Menlo Park Presbyterian Church’s mission team in providing this translated CD as a gift to Christian medical workers, professors, and pastors.  Linda Arrillaga, MGW Co- Founder notes, “Scripture memorization provides a way for us to help countries where learning English is important. The gifts we provide are an effective tool to memorize scripture, as well as an opportunity for people to practice and improve their English skills.”

Mastering God’s Word Announces
Non-Profit Status

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Menlo Park, Ca. (November 28, 2007) – Mastering God’s Word (MGW), an organization with a unique approach to memorizing scripture, announced today the finalization of 501C 3 status.

Mastering God’s Word was founded to provide a unique and easy way for Christians to memorize scripture from the Bible. MGW was founded by Linda Arrillaga and Cindy Mendoza. “God tells us His word is mighty and powerful. We believe that MGW’s goal of spiritual transformation through memorization can encourage and help people to grow as Christians.”

Scripture memorization is an important spiritual discipline, but for many people, it seems to be a difficult discipline to master. The unique method MGW uses is especially effective because it addresses different learning styles and the format is the only multi-sensory approach for scripture memorization available today.

The uniqueness of the listening-speaking component combined with today’s technology provides a convenient and mobile way to learn scripture in the midst of our busy lives.

Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.

Deuteronomy 11:18,19
